Candida Albicans
Suffering from Candida or Thrush? This article by Lindsay Duncan, CN which appeared in "Conscious Choice", November 1996 is a must read.
Candida Albicans is a fungus
which is present in everybody. In small amounts it is harmless but
when its growth increases it can be devastating. It is considered
one of the most prevalent yet un-recognized health conditions.
In a healthy body the fungus is kept in control by friendly bacteria.
However, medicinal antibiotics and those found in some meats we eat
have upset the delicate balance in our bodies. These antibiotics
reduce and weaken the friendly bacteria, allowing Candida to
flourish. Birth control pills, cortisone and other drugs also
upset the balance. Candida thrives on sugar and carbohydrates,
mouldy foods, beer, vinegar and pickles.
Candida
The fungus releases wastes into the bloodstream creating a variety of
symptoms including food cravings (for sweets, alcoholic beverages,
chocolate, etc.), excessive allergies, diaper rash, vaginal
infections, depression , food sensitivity, exhaustion, headaches,
irritability, memory lose, obesity or excessive weight loss,
gas/bloating, diarrhea or constipation, PMS, earaches, numbness and
many others. Candida affects physical, mental and emotional
well-being,. Thinking becomes unclear and irrational and often is
unnoticed to the victim.
Candida may be one of the primary causes of ill health and obesity. As
it becomes prevalent a sufferer craves carbohydrates and sweets,
allowing it to thrive even further, impeding the immune system and
creating symptoms and excess weight. On it goes until the immune
system is weakened and symptoms are no longer tolerable. A physician
is usually consulted and antibiotics prescribed which kill off more
friendly bacteria, allowing further Candida proliferation.
Infection is difficult to diagnose since the fungus is present in
everybody and because it creates such a variety of symptoms. The
best way to determine whether you are being adversely affected by
this fungus is to look at your diet and your symptoms. If you feel
addicted to sugar, crave breads or other carbohydrates, are
experiencing any other symptoms or just don't feel well, chances are
you are being affected by Candida and you should consider a change
in diet.
A little Candida is OK. The fungus normally lives in the body but is controlled by the immune system and a balance of more-beneficial organisms. The best defense is a strong immune system.
If you do not successfully remove 95% of all Candida, it will come back.
Candida may be transmitted between people so the whole family should be treated. Vitaklenz helps the body rid itself of worms.
